Q&A: how short does my hair have to be for scene/emo style?
Question by : how short does my hair have to be for scene/emo style?
I recently got my hair cut in a sort of scene/emo style. My short layers are about 11 to 12 inches long and I’m wondering if they are too long to stand up by teasing and spraying with hairspray. If so, how short does my hair need to be?

honestly, it can be as long or as short as you want it to be. make your hair unique, thats how to be “scene”, because scene girls are well… unique!

Those are two different questions. Scene/emo hair can be any length. But your asking how long can it be that you can tease it right or how short does it need to be to stay that way. Try asking again but just talking about the teasing instead of titleing it the way you did and you should get better answers. I would answer but i dont know, you could always try and see how well it works. Just so you know teasing is very bad for your hair because it strips the hairs covering.
just get choppy short layers & tease the way u wanna tease.. make it your own
I’m emo and I tease my top layers most days. They stand up easily with a bit of hairspray.
Your top layers are way too long and definitely won’t stand up. My top layers are about four inches long.
Hope I helped.
